Located in Grand Staircase Escalante, this short hike to the unique Toadstools formations was a perfect break to get out of the car and move. The hike is only 1.5 miles roundtrip, but it was HOT and there was no shade. I think my friend Nikki was actually miserable on this hike, but too nice to tell me she was completely over it and wanted to get back in the air-conditioned car. We got our first experience of the beautiful red and white colors of the Utah rocks, and the unique geological shapes.
Overall, this is a great little hike, so long as you are prepared for the heat. Pack lots of water and wear sunscreen.
